Ale-8-One Signs Distribution Agreement
with Coca-Cola Enterprises!
WINCHESTER, KY- Frank A. Rogers, III, president and CEO of Ale-8-One of America, Inc., announced February 8, 2002, that Ale-8-One signed a distribution agreement with Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE), the world's largest soft drink producer, headquartered in Atlanta.

Beginning April 1, 2002, CCE will distribute the soft drink, Ale-8-One, in 61 counties of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, including the greater Louisville and Cincinnati metro areas and in the Ashland, Pikeville and Hazard areas of Eastern Kentucky.

Rogers stresses that Ale-8-One, a group of family-owned, privately held corporations, has not been sold. "Ale-8-One is committed to remaining a strong Kentucky company, employing Kentucky workers to manufacture Kentucky's soft drink, Ale-8-One, in its manufacturing facility in Winchester." Rogers says that there has been discussion regarding further distribution with CCE, but no national agreement is yet in place.

The Ale-8-One Bottling Company and its predecessors have operated in Winchester, Kentucky, since 1902, and have produced the ginger-based soft drink there since 1926. Last year, the company celebrated the 75th anniversary of the drink. Ale-8-One is Kentucky's only native soft drink and was developed by G. L. Wainscott, Rogers' great uncle.

Rogers indicated that this agreement will greatly expand Ale-8-One's market area. Rogers said, "We believe that CCE's market power and market penetration will allow Ale-8-One to achieve the success that it deserves in areas outside our core area in Kentucky."

CCE distributes Coca-Cola products in 80% of North America (including Canada) and parts of Europe. It is a publicly traded corporation, (NYSE: CCE), 40% of its stock is owned by the Coca-Cola Company.
